About Drew

Drew commenced his structural engineering and project management career in 2004 when, following graduation he gained employment with a multi-national consultancy in their regional Darwin office. Here Drew’s engineering ‘apprenticeship’ saw him designing hangars, administration buildings, residential quarters and simulator buildings for a large defence project at Robertson Barracks located in Darwin.

Drew further developed his design and project management skills whilst employed by an Adelaide based design and construction business where he mastered the design of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB’s), mining and agricultural structures and storage facilities.

During his tenure with a mid-tier Sydney based consulting firm Drew took the opportunity to broaden his skills base adding engineering assessment and reporting expertise.

As one of the firms founding directors, Drew now shares his knowledge and experience through staff mentoring and management ensuring all clients receive the quality of service expected from Triaxial Consulting.

Technical Skills

Structural

Design of reinforced and precast concrete, structural steel, Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), clay and concrete masonry and timber framing.

Structural software including Metal Building Software (MBS) for the design and detailing of steel framed structures, Space Gass and Microstran engineering design analysis software, AutoCAD drafting software, Inducta Engineering (RC Slabs) reinforced concrete design software, RAPT concrete design analysis software.

Reporting & Project Management

Procurement and technical specifications (structural steel), estimating and quoting, D&C projects, contract administration, forensic investigations, technical reporting.
